I can honestly say this was one of the most extraordinary massages I’ve ever received. I’ve travelled extensively and experienced massages across Central America, South America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe, from simple local treatments to luxury spa experiences and Lydia is firmly in my top three massages of all time. The others were a treatment in India and a muscle-chain massage I experienced in South America, which says a lot about the level of work she delivers.
What makes her work so special is how intuitive it is. And I don’t mean “woo-woo intuitive” it’s clearly grounded in a deep understanding of anatomy. It feels informed by osteopathy, chiropractic awareness, fascia work, organs and the interconnectedness of the body’s systems. She seems to understand exactly what your body needs without you having to explain it.
The work itself goes deep, but without the painful intensity you sometimes find in traditional Thai massage. It’s more like a profound muscular and fascial release that also has a potent noticeable effect on the nervous system.
Lydia is clearly extremely well trained, she has studied under world champions but beyond that there is something very natural and instinctive about the way she works. She’s calm, genuine, grounded, kind, matter-of-fact, and simply gets to the root of what your body needs in that moment.
I genuinely struggle to find the right words... it’s simply exceptional bodywork. I feel incredibly grateful to have someone of her level practicing here in the South of France.
If you’re considering booking with her, it’s an absolute no-brainer.
